A native of South Texas, David began his musical career early in his life. Fortunate enough to have great mentors and directors, David begin playing in various dance bands and orchestras at age 16, motivating him to pursue his musical studies at the University of North Texas, where he received a BME in 1997.
Working as a freelance trombonist, David co-leads and serves as arranger/musical director for the band “Rob G and the Latin Pimps,” which won both Dallas and Fort Worth (FW) music awards in 1999 and recently in 2005. 
David performs regularly around the DFW metroplex and tours frequently with various groups such as, The Latin Pimps, Norte de Havana, Big Daddy Alright, The Robert Gomez Band, Ricki Derek, The Cary Richards Orchestra, Tuxedo Junction, Carabali and Latin Fire.
David began arranging and composing at age 15 for his own high school jazz band and marching band, as well as other south Texas dance bands. Now, David currently writes for a variety of groups all around the DFW area. His works area played by numerous school bands, such as concert, jazz and marching bands in the Caroll and Northwest districts, A+ Academy, Weatherford College, and many others. David also writes commercial and symphonic music for the music for the Southlake Community Band, the Irving Symphonic Band, and many other groups such as the the Garland Symphonic Band, the Tuxedo Junction big band, the Ricki Derek big band and sextet, The Drams, Latin Talk, 
Norte de Havana, and the Latin Pimps. Many of David’s songs have been used in commercial jingles for Taco Bell, Neiman Marcus, and On the Border. David has also worked with many recording artists, arranging and providing music for album work or of all genres.
In January of ‘97, David began working for the Southlake Carroll school district, where he taught for 9 years. In that time, he developed a love for writing and arranging for his students, both young and old. During his stay in Southlake, David also directed the Southlake Community Swing Band.
Currently, David and his lovely wife Jessica reside in Denton, TX.
